Welcome to The Licensing Partnership (TLP), a business-to-business entity representing the 3rd party rights of many independent music copyright holders that is well positioned to license both back-catalogue and new recordings with its vast array of major label and independent contacts.

We are based in the United Kingdom but our clients are located around the world and licences are available for numerous territories including North & South America, Europe, Japan, SE Asia and Australia / New Zealand.

You will find links to the left of this page to just some of TLP’s clients. However, the list is not exhaustive so please e-mail us at the below address with any enquiries you may have or if you would like to request a copy of our clients' printed catalogues.

Please be advised that the inclusion of a recording on any of the web pages this site links you to is not necessarily an indication of its availability for the usage or territory requested.

Music Users

Amongst the customers to whom our music is available are traditional record labels, Premium CD Producers, Direct Response labels, TV stations, Advertising Agencies, Jingle Producers, Film Producers, Music Consultants, Video Production companies, Multimedia developers and Artist Managers/A&R personnel who may be considering samples for their artists to utilize.

Licensing Procedure

Each request to use the repertoire of TLP’s clients must be specifically cleared in writing prior to any commercial or non-profit making exploitation whatsoever. You will need to pay a licensing fee which will be dependent upon the specific terms agreed with you for the use you wish to make of the music. In addition, you will need to obtain the permission of the publisher of the song and in some circumstances the permission of other parties such as public performance bodies and unions/guilds.

Whilst this site is intended to aid your selection of a recording for a potential licence, it is not an offer of a licence nor will it form any part of any potential licence agreement. We do not guarantee that you will be able to obtain a licence for the use you are interested in, and both we and our clients reserve the right to refuse to grant a licence to anyone at our sole discretion.

We will provide the names of the composer and author of the song where possible, and the name of the music publisher where known. Please note that music publisher information changes from time to time and from territory to territory, so you should always check with your local music publishing trade body for up-to-date information; we do not guarantee the accuracy of our publisher information which is supplied on an "as is" basis, but we will do our best to point you in the right direction.

Record Labels

If you are a record label or otherwise own or control rights to commercially exploitable masters and are looking for local representation in the United Kingdom and Europe, or worldwide through our network of affiliates, please contact us. Our background in catalogue representation to record labels (both major and independent and in all major territories of the world including the USA, Japan, Australia and the Far East as well as throughout Europe), games and software companies, advertising agencies and major film & TV studios enables us to generate revenues for you which you may not have previously considered.
